Of late, the game of cricket is evolving on a regular basis. The players are adding various dimensions to their game in order to give themselves a good chance to be selected in the national teams. One of the player to miss out from the ICC World Cup 2019 for the same reason is Ambati Rayudu. Meanwhile, Aakash Chopra highlights the wicketkeeping ability of Rayudu.
Last Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced their squad for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019. As expected, there are quite a few surprising names on the chart. Vijay Shankar is one such interesting selection, who got the nod ahead of a regular player Ambat Rayudu.
Speaking of the inclusion, MSK Prasad recently quoted that Vijay Shankar is a two-dimensional player, who not only bats but also gives an extra option for Virat Kohli while leading the side. His bowling is the only aspect, which brought him into the ship while Rayudu is unfortunate to miss out.
Rayudu has donned the gloves in absence of MS Dhoni:
Meanwhile, the Indian former cricketer, Aakash Chopra highlights Rayudu’s wicket-keeping ability, which is the other aspect to consider while picking his name during the selection procedure. The tweet by Aakash Chopra indirectly meant for the selection of ICC World Cup 2019.
Digging into his tweet, it read ”Rayudu has donned the gloves in the absence of Dhoni…added another Dimension to his game.”

Apart from Aakash Chopra, recently, the former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir spoke on the same. He quoted that it was unfortunate to see Ambati Rayudu is being judged on his IPL form. He believes that Rayudu got the ingredients in him to deliver for the team on a big stage.
Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for the Indian National Cricket Team in the major event. For now, they still got the time to make a change to their final squad that travels England. Ambati Rayudu and Pant are the back-ups, who can get the call at any time.
