Harbhajan Singh, Indian off spinner has confirmed that Amit Mishra is available for selection for tomorrow’s match against South Africa. He added that his place in the final XI will depend on the decision of the team management, which will have a lot to take with the wicket at the Chepauk Stadium. According to reports so far, the pitch seems to be a belter and a high scoring match can be expected here.
However, the pitch report and the actual pitch behaviour have been chalk and cheese thie series. The scores predicted doesn’t come close to the ones being scored.
There was a doubt over Mishra’s place in the side after a woman had filed an FIR on the grounds of abuse and sexual assault on her by Amit Mishra. But Harbhajan made it clear that this incident won’t have any effect on the chances of Amit Mishra playing tomorrow.
Talking about R Ashwin, he said he is not sure about his fitness but if fit, he will definetely play tomorrow. He added that the team management won’t risk about his fitness and will play it safe, considering the upcoming Test series, where R Ashwin will play a major part.
