Indian leading off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has picked up his all-time playing XI while interacting with fans on twitter.
It is not an uncommon thing about these all-time XIs as most of the retired players have picked their best teams over the past few years and the current active players are continuing the trend as we have seen a number of players across various countries picking out their favorite XIs.
Ravichandran Ashwin has joined the list as he picked out his all-time XI which featured only one Indian in the form of Sachin Tendulkar. However, he said: “Hahaha, I know this will lead to controversies”, before announcing his favorite all-time XI to the fans.
He also picked Adam Gilchrist to partner Sachin Tendulkar and have gone to Jacques Kallis, Brian Lara, Inzamam Ul Haq and Steve Waugh to provide a solid middle order.
However, he picked Michael Bevan in the role of a finisher ahead of his team-mate and captain MS Dhoni who is regarded as one of the greatest finishers of all-time. He picked Lance Klusner as the all-rounder of the team who could contribute both with bat and ball for the team.
He picked legendary leg-spinner Shane Warner as a lone spinner in his squad and have picked the devastating duo of Wasim Akram and Glenn McGrath as his new-ball bowlers.

However, Ashwin has said he picked the team from the past generation as no current active players are present in his playing XI. However, he has snubbed legendary Indian leg-spinner and current Indian Team coach Anil Kumble which comes as a surprise as the World No.2 Test bowler has always admitted that Kumble is his favorite spinner.
@sportstarweb @kalamani22 strictly from the past generation to avoid problems.😄
