Team India skipper Virat Kohli, who is taking a break from this Asia Cup, has congratulated his side for beating Pakistan convincing in Super Four clash.
Meanwhile, the selectors decided to rest Kohli to manage his workload after the grueling tour of England. The selectors will want him fresh for the upcoming Test series against Australia.
Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma were in ruthless form as India romped to a nine-wicket win over Pakistan. Set 238 for victory, Dhawan (114 off 100) and Sharma (111* off 119) each hit imperious centuries as India reached their target with 63 balls to spare.
They shared an opening stand of 210 runs with Dhawan being the main aggressor hitting 16 boundaries and two sixes. It took a run out to finally break the partnership, Shoaib Malik making the most of a mix up to send Dhawan on his way. Rohit Sharma reached his century soon after to saw the match through to its conclusion.
Previously, Pakistan’s total of 237 for 7 looked below par, however, it was not possible without a 107-run stand between Shoaib Malik (78 off 90) and captain Sarfraz Ahmed (44 off 66). Some disciplined Indian bowling had reduced Pakistan to 58 for 3 with the spinners coming to the forefront.
Shoaib and Sarfraz rebuilt steadily before starting to play more expansively to take the score over 250. Meanwhile, the runs continued to flow Kuldeep Yadav removed Sarfraz, as Asif Ali biffed 30 from 21 deliveries including two sixes. However, his dismissal followed by that of Shoaib Malik saw the Pakistan innings to stall.

Kohli moments after the win took to Twitter to congratulate his teammates for a great win. He also noted that he is looking forward to the next games.
