Various athletes from all over the sports are coming forward to pledge their help to the Australia Red Cross to help the victims from the wildfire spread across the state of New South Wales. The efforts put up by the athletes have encouraged the cricketers as well. The most famous three Australian cricketers came up with an incredibly remarkable gesture to help the victims of the bushfire.

The power-hitting batsmen – Glenn Maxwell, Chris Lynn, and D’Arcy Short have put forth the idea of donating $250 for every six they will hit in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL). The three cricketers are one of the best power-hitting batsmen of the Australian premier league. And their step for the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal is winning the hearts of millions of fans out there.

3 Australian Cricketers join hands to help Australian Red Cross:

Following the lead of the athletes, the hard-hitting Brisbane Heat skipper Chris Lynn took to his Twitter profile and stated that for every six by him, he would donate $250.

“Hey Guys, for every six I hit in this years Big Bash League I will donate $250 towards the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal. It is special to see so many athletes from various sports getting in behind the real heroes who are fighting to save lives and properties around our country ?,” wrote Chris Lynn.

Soon after he shared the post, two other famous international cricketers joined the hands with Lynn. First, Glenn Maxwell from the Melbourne Stars came forth and posted that his appreciation for Lynn for the brilliant idea to help the cause and joined hands with him. And soon after Maxwell, D’Arcy Short followed suit and joined the fellow cricketer on the board.

Maxwell wrote:

“Love it Lynny!! I’ll match you on $250 per six I hit in this years BBL. Great cause which is helping so many people around the country who are doing it tough right now. ?,” wrote Glenn Maxwell.

However, this is just not it as the other Australian cricketers are also helping the victims by doing every bit they can. Some cricketers are auctioning their signed off shirts from the Boxing Day Tests, and every dollar from the auction will proceed towards the bushfire victims.

In the meantime, the veteran spinner from Perth Scorchers, Fawad Ahmed has also pledged to donate $250 for every six and wicket in the ongoing league. Till now, Fawad has hit two sixes while he has plucked a total of seven wickets in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Brisbane Heat and Hobart Hurricanes have also joined the pledge started by Short and Lynn. On the other hand, Cricket Australia (CA) has announced that the ODI matches between Australia and New Zealand on March 13 and 15 will also involve the fundraising for the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund.
