Babar’s brilliance seals yet another easy win

Within less than twenty-four hours, Pakistan and West Indies battled it down again in the 2nd T20I and the result was quite the same, rather it added more misery to visitors Windies.

After losing the toss in the first T20I, the Pakistan captain opted to bat first after winning this time. Though Fakhar Zaman departed early, another opener Babar Azam didn’t fail to make the mark this time after a failure in the last T20I.

Babar is heavily criticized for his strike-rate but this time the batsman made sure that the critics stay silent. With 13 fours and 1 six, Babar played a tremendous unbeaten knock of 97 runs off just 58 balls and with the man of the last T20I Hussain Talat (63), Pakistan posted 200 plus for the second time in a row.

Windies poor bowling continued from where they left and it hurt them yet again. Rayad Emrit, Kesrick Williams and Odean Smith managed to pick up 1 wicket each, but all gave away too many runs.

In reply, opener Andre Fletcher failed to score big once again but Chadwick Walton (40) played some big shots before Shadab Khan knocked out his stumps.

After Walton’s dismissal, none of the batsman couldn’t make a mark and Windies kept losing wickets in quick successions which threw them out of the game even before half of the overs were bowled.

The way Windies continued their poor bowling, the exact way the bowlers of Pakistan kept their brilliant form going. Mohammad Amir was the pick of the man for the men in green who picked up 2 wickets while Shadab Khan and Hussain Talat picked up 2 wickets each to bowl out Windies for 123 runs.

With this win, Pakistan win the T20I series with one match still to go. They will face each other in the last T20I on Tuesday.
