Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan, on Monday, informed that they had proposed Sri Lanka to reschedule the Test series when the condition improves considering the ongoing pandemic.
Bangladesh was scheduled to tour Sri Lanka to play three-match Test series in August but the outbreak of the coronavirus led the postponement of the series.

But after England and other countries resumed cricket activities while following the safety protocol, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka also agreed to reschedule their series in late October. But the COVID-19 had again forced them to postpone the bilateral series.
Nazmul Hassan said that they had demanded to decrease the number of quarantine days before the series. But it seems that Sri Lanka had not agreed with BCB’s demand.
“We have asked them to reschedule the tour, we cannot do a tour with a 14-day quarantine in place,” Nazmul said about Sri Lanka’s revised proposal.
Bangladesh and Sri Lanka last played series in March:
The Tiger last played the bilateral series against Zimbabwe in March. Since then, they have not played any competitive match.
Sri Lanka also last played the series against West Indies in March. Both countries have resumed training sessions but are yet to play international cricket.
Meanwhile, some Sri Lankan players like Isuru Udana and former cricketer Mahela Jayawardene are in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 which had started from 19th September.
