Shocking: Manchester United owners not ready to appoint Mourinho

While people across the globe were busy celebrating the success achieved by West Indies in their World T20 2016 campaign, there was a sad tale behind it. After winning the final against England, skipper Darren Sammy admitted that the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) had never supported the team and let them down. It took a lot of guts from Sammy to acknowledge the misdeeds of the WICB in front of the whole world.

In the post match interview, all-rounder Dwayne Bravo too reiterated the fact that the WICB had let the players down massively. As a matter of fact, Bravo also said that the BCCI supported them more than their own board.

“The country’s cricket is not in right hands. We have not got a telephone call from any of the WICB officials or directors. That’s not a good thing. We know that they did not want or believe that we could win this tournament. It was basically us against them. Even the BCCI does more for us,” Bravo said in his post match interview.

“If we look at the calendar, we don’t have any more T20 matches this year. We are not picked for the ODIs. There’s a series that’s going to happen with South Africa but we will be playing in England whereas we should have been playing for the West Indies. Look at the love we get over here. Even the BCCI does more for us than our board,” said Bravo. “But it’s nice that the CARICOM people are coming together. Cricket is a way that unites people in the Caribbean,” concluded Bravo.
