Bharat Arun to coach Hyderabad Ranji team 1

The Hyderabad cricket team, which has been going through a poor form in domestic cricket from past few years have decided to turn their fortune this year and to revive the old memories of success. In the first move, they have appointed the former coach of Indian cricket team Bharat Arun as their coach for the upcoming domestic season.

“We have struck a deal with Arun and he will be joining us for this season,
“We had advertised for the post and got about 15 candidates for the same,” ” HCA secretary John Manoj told ToI.

“It was a tossup between Sanath and Arun. But the panel opted for Arun because he has better credentials. Arun was the bowling coach of the Indian team and that’s what tilted the balance for him. Bowling has been a bother for us in the last few seasons and we thought that Arun will be able to help our bowlers overcome their problems,” John added on the reason why Arun was chosen over his competitors for the job.

Arun was appointed by a panel of a member which consisted of MV Narasimha Rao, Venkatapathi Raju, and VVS Laxman.

Not just this he Hyderabad association is looking to rope in former India player Subramaniam Badrinath to their roster. Badrinath played for Tamil Nadu for more than 10 years before switching off to Vidarbha last year. Now Hyderabad is looking to add him to his squad but the question remains that how they will sign a deal with when the last date for the player transfer was 15 July 2016?

The Hyderabad team had suffered a blow last year with Pragyan Ojha bidding a goodbye to this team to play for West Bengal. This year though has brought good news for them as the Andhra Pradesh opener Kona Barat has switched over to play for Hyderabad which is part of Andhra Pradesh state.

Kona Bharat is currently playing Duleep trophy for India Green.
