Big Bash League 2018-19: Sydney Thunder vs Perth Scorchers – Preview. Sydney Thunder and Perth Scorchers will lock horns with each other in the 17th match of the ongoing Big Bash League 2018-19. The hosts, Sydney Thunder have won two matches and have lost as many to perch at the fourth position in the points table.

On the other hand, two times champions Perth Scorchers hasn’t had an ideal start to the eighth season of the league. Ashton Turner led side has won a solitary contest and have lost three to be in the bottom half of the points table. Consequently, the visitors will aim to turn the tables and make a solid comeback.

Scorchers will look to make a solid comeback.

Both of these teams had lost their last match and would aim to get back to winning ways. Sydney Thunder Jos Buttler has been in fine form and would like to continue his good form going. The England talisman wicketkeeper-batsman has scored 195 runs in four matches and has scored two fifties in four matches.

On the other hand, Daniel Sams has led with the ball as he has taken eight wickets for the Sydney Thunder. Thus, both these players will look to continue with their good form.

Meanwhile, Sydney Thunder skipper Shane Watson hasn’t had an ideal start to the season. Subsequently, the hard-hitting all-rounder will like to lead from the front.

On the other hand, Perth Scorchers haven’t found their Midas Touch thus far. The two-times champions will like to make a solid return as they wouldn’t like to do the catching work in the fag end of the group stages. Scorchers will rely on the leading run-getter of the tournament, Michael Klinger to come to the party and give them a solid start.
