Indian Opener Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the rest of India’s series in Sri Lanka with a hairline fracture in his right hand. Dhawan was injured during the first test and did not come to field in the second innings. But somehow Dhawan managed to bat in spite of the injury. Few minutes back, BCCI confirmed Dhawan’s news and tweeted that he will not be a part of the tour. Here is the tweet

Last night BCCI had announced that All-Rounder Stuart Binny will join the team ahead of the second test and so far, no replacement has been named for Dhawan. His opening partner Murali Vijay is also a doubtful starter for the second test as he is recovering from his hamstring injury. If Vijay is unfit for the test, KL Rahul might be asked to open with Cheteshwar Pujara.
