Brian Vetori, Zimbabwean fast bowler’s action is under the scanner again as the left-arm pacer has been reported for the suspected action for the second time in the year. He was reported for the suspected action during the final of the tri-series game between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka where he bowled nine overs for 52 runs and three wickets. It was the only game he participated in the tri-series.
Earlier, Vetori was barred from bowling in January 2016 after being suspended by ICC but the ban was later lifted in June 2016. Now, he has to undergo a bowling test again within a period 14 days as per the rules of ICC. Till then, he is allowed to bowl in international cricket.
Zimbabwe lost the final game against Sri Lanka and failed to win the tri-series. They put up a target of 161 for Sri Lanka with they chased down before 40 overs to finish the race as the winner.
Vetori will soon appear for the bowling test to get his action cleared so as to continue bowling in international cricket.
