Confirmed: Misbah-ul-Haq To Stay As Pakistan Captain In Sydney Test
Misbah-ul-Haq drew some attention towards him by claiming that he might miss the Sydney Test and even consider retirement.

Few minutes after suffering a loss against Australia in the second Test at Melbourne, Misbah-ul-Haq shocked the world by indicating he might not play the third and the final Test at Sydney as he is thinking to retire but it has been confirmed that Misbah will play the third Test, which may or may not be his last game. His future as a player will heavily depend upon the result of the game.

“Misbah will play in Sydney and he will be captain,” team’s media manager Amjad Hussain Bhatti said.

A distressed Pakistan team reached Sydney on Saturday and canceled the training session, in order to take an extra day off. The third Test starts on January 3 with the visitors looking to salvage pride by winning the dead rubber. On the other hand, Australia will look to continue their good show and make it 3-0.

After this series, Pakistan will play their next Test after a gap of three months when they travel to West Indies. Misbah’s decision to retire will also heavily depend upon the break between the two series.
