Rashid Khan ran out Evin Lewis
This incident happened during the second game of the CPL 2020 when the defending champions Barbados Tridents started that tournament by meeting against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (18th August 2020). Chasing down the 154 runs target, Patriots opener Evin Lewis lost his wicket in the seventh over through a run-out where the leg-spinner Rashid Khan deserved the entire credit for that wicket.
On the third ball of that seventh over, Rashid bowled to Joshua Da Silva who played a straight shot that hit the non-striker-end wickets and uprooted one of those stumps. After that ball hit the non-strike-end stumps, the non-striker-end batsman Lewis moved out from the crease in an attempt to snatch a run.
Rashid judged that situation very quickly and ran towards the bowling end, while Lewis understood that pressure situation slightly later and finally decided to return to the non-striker-end. Rashid picked up the ball from the pitch and uprooted another non-striker-end stump and Lewis was just away from the crease. It was an incredible run-out dismissal where Lewis was dismissed for 12 runs.
