Amid all the financial issues in Zimbabwe cricket, the Sri Lanka and West Indies board have accepted Zimbabwe’s offer to tour the country which comes as a big relief for Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe Cricket Board, on Thursday, officially announced that the Sri Lanka and West Indies will be travelling to the country in the month of October/November.
First, it will be the Asian country Sri Lanka who will be travelling to Zimbabwe to play two Test matches. Harare Sports Club, one of the premier centres in Zimbabwe will host both the five-day games. The first Test of the two-Test matches series will kick off on October 29 followed by the second and final Test match on November 6.
Both Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe have played 15 Test matches against each other with Sri Lanka winning 10 of them, five games have ended in a draw. Sri Lanka last toured Zimbabwe in the year 2004 winning both the Test matches of the series.
