England continues to dominate top position followed by India.
After the conclusion of One-day International series between India and England on Tuesday (July 17), the supreme body of cricket; International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday announced new 50-over rankings.
Number one-ranked England managed to turn the tables after being down with 1-0 in three-match series. They displayed a strong resistance and get two consecutive wins in the remaining two fixtures.
India with this defeat not only ended their nine series win streak but they failed also to grab top position in ICC’s ODI rankings. After around two-and-a-half-year, dominant India faced a series defeat in a bilateral series.

The Three Lions once again managed to defend the top position in the ODI rankings. With 51 matches under their belt, England occupies the top spot with 127 ratings.
As mentioned above, India failed to pounce on the top position as visitors received a 2-1 defeat against England in recently-concluded series.
But India lies on the second spot with 121 ratings. South Africa with the ratings of 113 is placed at the third spot. The Proteas are having 3,842 points.
On the other side, New Zealand has 41 matches under their belt with 112 ratings as the managed the fourth position in the ICC’s rankings.
Unpredictable Pakistan got promotion of one place after Australia faced a massive defeat of 5-0. They are also leading five-match ODI series 3-0 against Zimbabwe.
However, Men in Green are placed in the fifth spot. Australia after showing a poor display against England and were demoted from number five to number six position. Australia has exactly 100 ratings in ICC’s ODI ratings.
Bangladesh has 24 matches and they eventually amassed 2,220 points with 93 ratings in new ICC ODI rankings.
Moreover, in the white-ball cricket, Sri Lanka is having a rough patch. The Island nation has maintained the number eight spot in the latest ICC ODI rankings.
