Cricket match turned violent in Andhra Pradesh, one killed
In a “gully” cricket match, a 20 year old student was beaten to death Saturday evening at Bonilipuram village of Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh.
During the match a quarrel broke out between the two sides which took a violent turn when one of the players, Patta Ajay Kumar, a B.A student, was attacked by Pamula Kishore, a rival team member, police said.
Pamula Kishore, 21, an engineering student, thrashed Kumar with a bat. Patta Ajay Kumar succumbed to injury.
Kishore then fled from the ground, Police said.
Superintendent of Police AS Khan visited the spot of the offense and instructed the police to nab the culprit. PTI
