Former cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq is one of the finest batsmen of Pakistan’s history. So, it would be shocking for many to see his names in the list of wicket-takers. But it’s a fact that Inzamam picked the wicket in his first ODI bowl. Moreover, it was the most special wicket.

For any team playing against West Indies in the 1990s, the wicket of Brian Lara had to be the most valued one. The dashing left-hander, who is considered to be one of the greatest ever batsmen, could dismantle any bowling attack in the world.

In a One-Day International (ODI) against Pakistan in 1991, Lara was on his way to another big knock. He was batting on 45 when Pakistani skipper Imran Khan handed the ball to a 21-year-old Inzamam-ul-Haq, who was playing his second international match.

On this occasion, the young Inzamam proceeded to bowl his gentle left-arm spin. As he bowled the first ball, he got Lara to edge one, and wicket-keeper Moin Khan made no mistake. And, Lara had to depart.
