Justin Kemp
South Africa’s hard-hitting all-rounder also played for Hyderabad Heroes in the ICL. Kemp didn’t have the best of 50-overs and 2007 World Cup for South Africa and he decided to play in the ICL, which was not backed by the ICC or BCCI. As a result, Kemp was banned and his ban was lifted in 2009.
In 2010, Kemp joined Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League for $100,000. The right-hander scored 1512 runs in 85 ODIs for the Proteas and scalped 32 wickets. The ICL participation had a huge impact on Justin Kemp as he last played for the national side in 2007.
