Though the Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey didn’t impress with his bat during his initial outings in the limited-overs international cricket, the left-handed batsman has gradually improved his aggressive batting skills and evolved as a useful middle-order batsman.

After making his international debut in early 2018, Carey has played 36 ODIs and 28 T20Is where he has scored 884 runs (average 34.00) and 173 runs (average 14.41) respectively. During the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, while the defending champions Australia finished as the semi-finalists, Carey hugely impressed with his bat by scoring 375 runs in matches with an average of 62.50. However, the Aussie wicketkeeper-batsman hasn’t experienced Test cricket yet.
