India brilliantly won the third and final T20I of the series and also won the series by 2-1. After KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer scored 50+ runs, Deepak Chahar’s outstanding bowling helped India to win this match by 30 runs.
Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah decided to bowl first after winning the toss. While India scored 174/5 (20 overs) in the first batting, Bangladesh were bundled out for 144 runs (19.2 overs).
Deepak Chahar had the bowling figures of 3.2-0-7-6
Indian pacer Deepak Chahar provided a very good start in the second innings. In his first over (third over of the innings), Chahar dismissed the opener Liton Das (9) and Soumya Sarkar (0) in back-to-back deliveries.
But another opener Mohammad Naim handled that early pressure impressively. With Mohammad Mithun, Naim put a brilliant 98-run partnership for the third wicket. The left-handed batsman Naim reached his maiden T20I fifty in 34 balls and continued his dominant batting.

In that situation, the Indian bowlers were really struggling with the wet ball. Also, the Indian fielders were a little sloppy. But everything was changed once India broke that game-changing partnership.
Deepak Chahar totally outclassed in that innings while Shivam Dube played the other crucial role in that second innings. While Chahar brought the crucial breakthrough as he dismissed Mithun (27) to break that third-wicket partnership, Dube took the big wickets of Naim and Mushfiqur Rahim (0).
Before losing his wicket, Naim scored 81 runs off 48 balls with 10 fours and two sixes. After his dismissal, the Bangladesh batting totally collapsed. Apart from Naim and Mithun, all other Bangladesh batsmen failed to reach the double-digit score in that innings.
Deepak Chahar registered the best bowling figures in T20I history. Also, in the very final moment, Chahar became the first Indian bowler to claim a T20I hat-trick. The right-arm pacer Chahar finished this match with the bowling figures of 3.2-0-7-6 and broke the previous best T20I bowling figures record of Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis (4-2-8-6).
After dismissing Shafiul Islam (17.6 overs), Mustafizur Rahman (19.1 overs) and Aminul Islam (19.2 overs) in his three consecutive deliveries, Chahar became the first Indian and 11th overall bowler to claim a T20I hat-trick.
Also, Shivam Dube picked up three wickets who was expensive at earlier in that innings. He not only took his first international wicket by dismissing Rahim, finished with the bowling figures of 4-0-30-3.
Meanwhile, the leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal completed his 50th T20I wicket after picking up the only other wicket of that innings of captain Mahmudullah (8). However, Chahal was expensive in this game.
Indian batsmen KL Rahul scored 52 and Shreyas Iyer smashed 62 runs
In the first innings of this match, India lost both their openers cheaply. Captain Rohit Sharma scored only two runs while Shikhar Dhawan lost his wicket on 19 runs.
While India scored 41/2 in the powerplay, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer handled the next situation very well. They put a very important partnership of 59 runs for the third wicket. Both the batsmen scored 50+ runs which helped India to manage a good first innings total.
After Rahul was dismissed on 52 runs off 35 balls (7 fours), Iyer put another crucial 45 runs partnership for the fourth wicket with Rishabh Pant. While Iyer completed his half-century in 27 balls, the wicketkeeper-batsman Pant (6) once again disappointed.
Soon after Pant’s dismissal, Iyer lost his wicket after scoring 62 runs off 33 balls (3 fours and 5 sixes).
In the end, Manish Pandey played a great cameo knock of unbeaten 22 runs off 13 balls. Shivam Dube remained not out on nine off eight balls.
Among the Bangladesh bowlers, Shaiful Islam (2/32) and Soumya Sarkar (2/29) both scalped two wickets.
