Selectors have made quite a few changes in the India A side, with one of them being the forced one. An injured Shubham Gill will be missing the first three unofficial one-day games against New Zealand A side, and he has been replaced by Maharashtra batsman Ankit Bawne, who was to join the team for the last two one-day games. He has been rewarded with a place in his century in the second unofficial Test against New Zealand A.
In another change, Deepak Hooda, who was to stay with the team for first three One-dayers, will now be on the side until the end of the series.

BCCI had announced two teams for the five-match series against New Zealand A. Shreyas Iyer was announced as the captain of the side for first three games before Rishab Pant would succeed him for the last two matches. However, selectors were forced to make some more changes.
