Delhi Capitals Announces Their Donation To The Pulwama Martyr Families
Many Indians have come up to help the families of Pulwama martyrs. Now, the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Delhi Capitals (DC) have announced their contribution to the Pulwama martyr families.
More than 40 soldiers have lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack incident that happened on last Thursday (14 February). The whole world has condemned on that coward incident. The entire Indian cricket family have also cried out over that incident and came out to support the Indian soldiers.
The former Indian attacking opener Virender Sehwag has declared to provide free education to the children of martyr families at the ‘Sehwag International School’. Meanwhile, the Vidarbha cricket team have donated their 2018/19 Irani Trophy winning prize money to the martyr families.
Also, the Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has also announced to donate money to the martyr families. He also requested to everyone to come and support those families in these tough moments.
On the other hand, the BCCI acting president CK Khanna has requested to the SC-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) to contribute at least INR 5 crore to the martyr families. He has also asked the state associations and the IPL franchises for making contributions in this matter.
Now, Delhi Capitals have announced their contributions to the CRPF Wives Welfare Association. The IPL franchise will donate the earnings of their first home match in IPL 2019. In the upcoming IPL 2019, Delhi Capitals will play their first home game (at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground, Delhi) against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 26 March.

Delhi Capitals are desperate to change their luck in IPL. After playing the IPL tournament for all past 11 seasons as Delhi Daredevils, now the franchise name has been changed for IPL 2019 due to a part of ownership changes. The Delhi side has never reached the IPL finals. In the last six seasons, they have failed to reach the playoffs.
