Delhi Capitals Hilariously Troll Tim Paine After Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant Give Him Back On Field

One of the highlights of the fourth day’s play of the third Test between India and Australia was the way Tim Paine had sledged India stars Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant. He had tried to unsettle Rohit in the first innings.  With Rohit low on confidence due to his poor outings in Tests and also new to the crease, Paine sensed an opportunity to get under his skin.

He along with Aaron Finch tried to distract Rohit, when he was batting in the final session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on day two.

Paine told Finch, who was standing close in: “It’s a bit of a toss up between Royals and Indians for me. But if Rohit hits a six now, I’m changing to Mumbai.”

However, Paine’s attempt failed as Rohit carried on batting undeterred and went on to score an unbeaten fifty.

Paine was at it again in the second innings, this time targeting Rishabh Pant.   Paine had tried all he could to unsettle the youngster.

Pant was teased by Paine over MS Dhoni’s inclusion back in the T20I side and his exclusion, telling him they could use him at Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League.

“Tell you what big MS is back in the one day squad. Should get this bloke down to Hurricanes.. They need a batter. Fancy that extend you Aussie holiday, beautiful town Hobart too… get him a water front apartment. Have him over for dinner. Do you babysit? I can take my wife to the movies while you watch the kids,” Paine had told Pant.

Well, Pant did not forget the verbal volleys from Paine and made sure to give it back when the latter came out to bat in the second innings on Saturday.  Pant welcomed Paine to the crease with some banter of his own calling him the “temporary captain” and telling Ravindra Jadeja that Paine only knows how to talk. He also went on to say that the ‘you don’t need anything to get him out’.

“We have got a special guest here. Have you heard the word temporary captain ever. You [Jadeja] don’t need anything to get him out. Come on lads.

“He loves to talk, that’s the only thing he can do. Only talking talking,” Pant sledged from behind the stumps.

And now, Delhi Capitals, Pant’s IPL team, has added further salt to Paine’s wounds. They posted a recent snap of Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal to troll Paine.  The picture, showing Jackman and Gyllenhaal laughing at Reynolds after pulling off a prank, went viral recently.
