The everlasting debate of comparisons between a player to a player once again made to the headlines when Andrew Flintoff was asked to give his opinion on the comparisons between Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar. However, unlike everyone, Andrew Flintoff gave a straight and sharp answer without any hesitations.
Without any ray of doubt, we can call them the symbols of two unique eras of cricket. One faced the solid bowling attack with not much technical support and used to carry the whole burden of the team.
While on the other hand, we have got the current Indian National Cricket Team Skipper Virat Kohli, who has been pretty consistent on a regular basis despite the game being evolved vastly on a regular basis.
I love watching Virat Kohli play – Andre Flintoff
Over the years, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli has turned himself into a modern-day great of the game. He has done incredibly well by dominating oppositions across the formats with his style of play. He garnered huge praises for his work ethic and the success he attained.
“Honestly Virat is possibly the best player ever. Maybe even more than Sachin. I never thought I would see anyone that would compare to Sachin. I love watching him play. Hopefully, we will see best of him this summer. He is a treat to watch for anyone,” Flintoff told Mirror in an interaction organised by the World Cup Organizing Committee.
Last year, Virat Kohli bagged all the major honours at the ICC annual awards for his incredible run in 2018 season. Besides that, he was also named as the captain of the Test and ODI teams of the years.
