India vs England 2021, 1st Test: Fantasy Cricket Tips
Captain Virat Kohli has returned to the squad, who is currently the fourth-ranked Test batsman. Recently, in the Australia tour, young opener Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant played major roles with their bats.
The right-arm pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who has played 17 Tests, is ready to experience his first Test in India. Also, the tall experienced pacer Ishant Sharma has returned after recovering from the injury. However, in the Indian bowling line-up, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is likely to take the huge responsibility in this Test series.
England Test captain Joe Root won the Player of the Series award as well as Player of the Match awards in both the Tests during the recently concluded successful Test series in Sri Lanka. In that Test series, Root scored two big centuries, including one double-century (228, 1, 186 & 11). Jos Buttler also played some crucial knocks in that Sri Lanka tour.
On the other hand, in that same Sri Lanka tour, England off-spinner Dom Bess and left-arm spinner Jack Leach played the vital roles with the balls as they finished that Test series by picking up 12 and 10 wickets respectively.
Moreover, pace-bowling all-rounder Ben Stokes and spin-bowling all-rounder Moeen Ali have returned to the squad.
