India vs England 2021, 2nd Test: Fantasy Cricket Tips
Captain Virat Kohli scored 72 runs in the last innings of the first Test of this series when most other Indian batsmen failed in that fourth innings. Opener Shubman Gill, top-order batsman Chateshwar Pujara and wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant are in very good touch with the bat. All-rounder Washington Sundar is also very effective in the lower-middle-order batting.
Ravichandran Ashwin is playing vital roles as an off-spinner and lower-order batsman. Another all-rounder Axar Patel may start his Test career from this upcoming Test match, who missed the last Test due to an injury. Pacers Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah bowled well in the last Test.
Despite the strong victory in the Test series opener, the visitors England have decided to experiment with their playing XI in the second Test and that too in a big way. While Jofra Archer is unavailable for the upcoming Test due to an injury, James Anderson, Dom Bess and Jos Buttler will also miss the second Test match. Meanwhile, Stuart Broad, Moeen Ali, Ben Foakes are most likely to join in the playing XI along with either Olly Stone or Chris Woakes.
Test captain Joe Root is currently in a dream form with his bat as he scored three big centuries in the last three Tests, including scoring two double-centuries. Also, opener Dom Sibley and all-rounder Ben Stokes scored crucial half-centuries in their first innings of this Test series opener. While off-spinner Dom Bess was their best bowler in the first innings of the last Test, experienced pacer James Anderson and left-arm spinner Jack Leach were their top bowlers in the fourth innings of that Test match.
