Thisara Perera
Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera is one of the regular players in Sri Lankan limited-overs teams. While the lack of consistency is one of the issues for him in international cricket, he hasn’t achieved much success in the IPL career too.
Perera was one of the seven most expensive players in the 2012 and 2013 auctions as he was picked for over $600,000 in both occasions. However, he didn’t much impress according to those high values. After playing 37 IPL matches, Perera scored 422 runs and also took 31 wickets.
Though he claimed 19 wickets in the IPL 2013, which was his only bright IPL season as he also scored 233 runs (average 23.30), he was a very expensive bowler for his team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
In his IPL career, Perera has played for six different teams from 2010 to 2016.
