Former Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews is one of the top-class all-rounders in Sri Lankan cricket history. However, his IPL career has never been impressive.

From 2009 to 2017, Mathews served for three different IPL teams. Now-defunct Pune Warriors India (PWI) bought him for $950,000 in the 2011 IPL auction. However, his IPL performances never matched the top value.

While he has played 49 matches in IPL career, the right-handed batsman has scored 724 (average 23.35), and the right-arm pacer has taken 27 wickets.
