Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the successful yearly tournaments. While this league has mostly provided high-level and thrilling competitions, it has also generated huge money for everyone, including the players. Due to the top quality competitions and high salaries, even many top overseas players have shown their special interests in this league.

In the IPL, many players have been picked up via auctions which create an opportunity to get high value in a franchise side. While some deserving players have been picked up in cheap values, some players have been bought in the higher values than their past and future performances. Let’s take a look at the Five Most Overrated Players in IPL History.

Here we are talking about the five most overrated players in IPL history.

Former Ireland cricketer Eoin Morgan is one of the greatest captains in England cricket history. While he is one of the finest limited-overs batsmen in England cricket history, he hasn’t much shined in IPL yet.

Morgan has already featured in six IPL seasons as he has scored 854 runs in 52 matches with an average of 21.35. In his IPL career, he has already played for four different teams – Royal Challengers Bangalore (2010), Kolkata Knight Riders (2011-2013), Sunrisers Hyderabad (2015-2016) and Kings XI Punjab (2017). The left-handed batsman has hit four half-centuries in IPL career, but he has failed to perform consistently in IPL yet.

As an overseas cricketer, Morgan has always been picked up in good values. However, his performances have never much justified his price tag.
