While Gautam Gambhir has been included in the Indian squad for the upcoming five test series in England, he still has his doubters. The series is to be played from July 2014 till mid-August. Former Indian Captain Saurav Ganguly has pointed out that it will not be easy for Gautam Gambhir to get a chance in the team from day one, as other two openers Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay have also been doing well.

Saurav said, “Not too many surprises in the Test squad but it is good to see Gambhir in the squad. The selectors needed a third opener and with Virender Sehwag not getting big runs in the IPL, they have gone back to Gambhir. Gambhir will have to wait for his chance. Shikhar and Vijay have done well as openers but in a five-Test series, the opportunity will come. The weather and wickets will be dodgy and Gambhir’s chance will come.”
