David Miller starred with the bat as Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals in the first Qualifier to storm into the final of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
The South Africa star set Eden Gardens on fire with his blistering fifty to take his team one step closer to the title. Miller scored an unbeaten 68 off just 38 balls to help his side chase down 189 with three balls remaining.
Miller’s stunning knock was studded 3 fours and 5 sixes. Gujarat Titans were in a precarious situation when Miller walked out to bat in the 10th over. They were reeling at 85 for 3 and another wicket at that stage would have pretty much put the Royals on top.
However, Miller and captain Hardik Pandya not only steadied the ship but went on to share an unbeaten century-plus stand to guide their team to a memorable win. The duo added 106 runs for the fourth wicket.

While Miller was the aggressor towards the end of the chase, Pandya played the role of the second fiddle. Pandya remained unbeaten on 40 off 27 balls.
David Miller seals the game in style:
David Miller finished the game in stunning style for Gujarat Titans. Royals had the upper hand when the final over of the innings started. After Obed McCoy conceded just 7 runs in the 19th over, the Titans needed 16 from the final to win the clash.
And while everyone was expecting the match to go right down to the wire, Miller had some other plans. The hard-hitting batsman hit the first three balls of the over out of the park to seal the game in style. Prasidh Krishan had no answer to Miller’s onslaught as he looked helpless.
The first ball was a bit outside the off stump and Miller hit it over the long on fielder for a maximum. Krishna then tried a length delivery but the result did not change as Miller hit it over midwicket. The third delivery was a slower one but Miller picked up the length nicely and hit another six to end the game in stunning fashion.
