Melbourne Renegades all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been ruled out of BBL 06 due to a hamstring injury, which he suffered during the Thursday’s game against Perth Scorchers. He ran hard in order to save a boundary and put up an acrobatic dive, but during the course, he injured his hamstring and thus has been ruled out of the tournament.
Bravo will now undergo a surgery for the same and he’ll most likely miss the second edition of Pakistan Super League, starting February 9.
“Unfortunately, my Big Bash season is over which is very disappointing,” Bravo said on Friday.
“I’ll now have surgery and the rehabilitation to get me fit and playing at my best again. I want to thank all the Renegades fans for their support for me and I hope to see them again next season,” he added.
It’s not the first time when Bravo has been ruled out of a tournament in the starting phase as in the 2014 IPL as well, he suffered a shoulder injury after the first eight games.
Meanwhile, Melbourne Renegades lost their last game when Ashton Agar hit Aaron Finch a maximum on the last ball of the game to seal the second win of the tournament for Perth Scorchers.
