Harbhajan Singh Believes BCCI Should Go With The Indian Government’s Decision

Since the Pulwama terror attack incident, many Indians have demanded to boycott the Pakistan match in the upcoming World Cup. The Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh feels the Indian national cricket team should go with the government’s decision.

On 14 February, a suicide bomber attacked with an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF bus in Pulwama district (Jammu and Kashmir). More than 40 soldiers have lost their lives, and many are critically injured. The Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed carried out that attack.

Some Indian cricket stadiums have removed or covered the pictures of Pakistan cricketers. Moreover, the nation has also banned all Pakistan artists.

India-Pakistan cricket tie is very famous in world cricket. The India-Pakistan cricket ties always remain one of the top positions in the most awaiting games.

However, since January 2013, India and Pakistan haven’t played any bilateral series in international cricket. At present, they only meet in the ICC or ACC tournaments. According to the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup schedule, India and Pakistan will meet on 16 June at Old Trafford (Manchester). Recently, the ICC has also revealed that the India-Pakistan game in the upcoming World Cup is high in demand.

But many Indians believe that India should boycott the Pakistan match in the upcoming World Cup. The off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is one of them who feel that the country is bigger than anything. He believes that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) should stick with the decision whatever the Indian government will decide about their future relationship with Pakistan.

According to the reports, the SC-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai believes that the BCCI should write a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to ban Pakistan from the upcoming World Cup.
