6. Clive Lloyd (West Indies) – 102 vs Australia in 1975
Caribbean cricketer Clive Lloyd was the first batsman to score a century in the Cricket World Cup final history. As a captain, Lloyd played a fast knock of 102 runs off just 85 balls against Australia in the final of the 1975 CWC final. Coming to bat at the struggling situation of 50/3, Lloyd helped West Indies to manage the first innings total of 291/8 (60 overs).
While it was the inaugural edition of the Cricket World Cup history, West Indies won that tournament after beating Australia in the final by 17 runs. Chasing down that challenging target, Australia were bowled out on 274 runs (58.4 overs).
