South Africa got the monkey off their back as they finally managed to win a knockout game in a World Cup after they beat Sri Lanka by 9 wickets in their first quarter-finals against Sri Lanka at the SCG. It was a clinical performance by the South African bowlers and it was followed up by a classy unbeaten 82 from Quinton de Kock that took his side home without any hiccups. With this win, South Africa will now travel to Auckland where they will play the first semi-finals against either New Zealand or West Indies on 24 of this month. Imran Tahir was named the Man of the Match for his 4 wickets.
