It has been a brilliant edition of the world cup for Rohit Sharma so far. He smashed quite a few records to his name to help the Indian National Cricket Team taste the success against quality oppositions. Regarding the same, the former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar feels that India would be the world champions if Rohit Sharma has two good knocks in the next two games.
Rohit Sharma has been in sensational form in the 2019 World Cup. He scored his 5th hundred in only 8 innings. Rohit has now 3 successive hundreds in this World Cup. He had scored 102 against England on June 30 and 104 against Bangladesh on July 2.
During the course, Rohit not only became the second batsman in the ongoing showpiece event to have 600, or more, runs but only the fourth cricketer overall to the significant landmark. Nonetheless, he joined Sachin Tendulkar in the unique list and became only the second Indian to the feat.

Rohit can become the most successful batsman ever to feature in World Cup stage in India’s semi-final clash against Kane Willaimson-led side. The Hitman only needs 27 runs to etch his name in the history books.
Meanwhile, Sunil Gavaskar feels that Rohit Sharma has carried the burden of the Indian team with his brilliant batting display. Further, he went on to add saying that the Indian team will hope him deliver the goods in a remaining couple of matches as well.
“Rohit Sharma is in sublime form. He is batting absolutely unbelievable. He has been the rock for India. Sharma has given the kind of starts that has made life easier for the likes of Virat Kohli coming at No. 3 and the rest.
“Even down the order when No. 4, 5 and 6 have not really contributed big runs, the fact that Rohit Sharma has held the innings together has helped ease the burden. And if he continues the same form in the next two games then you can be guaranteed that India will be the world champions once again on Sunday (July 14),” Sunil Gavaskar told India Today.
Well, it would be interesting to see how he approaches the semifinals and the finals of the tournament. The skipper Virat Kohli, in his press conference, hoping a couple of centuries from Rohit Sharma’s willow.
