Jun 23, 2019 at 1:11 PM
For obvious reasons, Sarfaraz Ahmed has always been on the headlines and a trending topic in social media platforms. But, one of the Pakistan fans has crossed his limits to body-shame Sarfaraz Ahmed. Meanwhile, the fans from India came in support of the Pakistan skipper to thrash the Pakistani, who abused him.
Pakistan cricket team is facing a lot of flak for their performance in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 so far. While some these criticism has been fair, some trolls are behaving disgracefully in their attack. Many of these have been personal and even the families of these cricketers have not been spared.
Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been the popular target of these trolls. Many have criticised Sarfaraz for his decision to bowl first against India. Sarfaraz Ahmed was also trolled after a picture of him yawning on the field during India’s innings went viral.
Sarfaraz Ahmed failed to lead Pakistan to victory:
Several videos have surfaced of Sarfaraz being trolled and body-shamed. One such video shows one Pakistan fan calling the Pakistan captain ‘Mota’ (Fat) in a mall in England in front of his son.
But the recent incident is something that has completely crossed the line. Sarfaraz was out shopping with his son when a fan asked for a selfie with him. Sarfaraz obliged and the man started to abuse him and said he was ‘fat like a pig’.
Meanwhile, the fans from India came in support of Ahmed and thrashed the comments of the fan. They also praised the skipper of Pakistan for leaving the mall without any further action, as he was carrying a kid with him.
Here are a few tweets:

Every captain in history has lost an important match. #SarfarazAhmed doesn’t deserve this. This is harassment… for heaven’s sake he is with his child. https://t.co/JU8YFKMPyg

So true…Somehow slowly n steadily we Asians are losing the plot. Social media shld be used for the right purpose not for such rubbish activities.. And by doing this ppl think they are stars🤬.. Infact it shows their shallowness and sadly they are shaming their upbringing too.

Differences apart, he is a simple man. Criticism for the match is good but this is called humiliation and especially when @SarfarazA_54 is with his kid in his personal space.
Good to see his patience and leave from there.— Tanmay Shankar 🇮🇳 (@Shanktan) June 22, 2019
Sarfaraz best person I ever seen in Pakistan team. This harassment in not acceptable. He gave ICC odi trophy to pak after 25 years. Ex players who mocking sarfaraz should think what trophy they gave to team? We love you sarfaraz. ❤ from 🇮🇳
