David Warner and Steve Smith had a tough last 12 months before making their way into the Indian Premier League 2019. They both showcased their class in the middle for their respective teams. Meanwhile, they have a big task on their shoulders playing for Australia in the ICC World Cup 2019.
David Warner, in particular, enjoyed a scintillating Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 wherein he amassed a staggering 692 runs in just 12 matches at a brilliant average of 69.20 with a century and eight half-centuries under his belt. He even bagged the Orange Cap for becoming the leading run-scorer.

The former Australian Cricketer, who is the current head coach of the team quoted that the duo needs some space and should stay away from any kind of trolling during the tournament. Langer urged fans to enjoy the game rather than involving in such kind of stuff.
Further, Justin Langer quoted saying that both are good human-beings deep down. He urges all the fans to speak just about the game during the course of the tournament and be decent with the cricketers.
”They are human beings, and that’s the truth. That’s where I find it hard. I am a dad, and I have got kids. A lot of the time, players feel like they are my kids,” Langer said during a press conference on the eve of the World Cup opener against Bangladesh. “And you see that happen. You know you feel for them personally. They are going to have to have thick skin.”
“But I think it is really important that people show some respect as well. Because they are humans, they are really good cricketers. They made a mistake. They have paid the price for it. Big price actually. I feel for them as people more than anything else,” he added.
All in all, things won’t be that easy for Steve Smith and David Warner from a section of cricketing fans. However, they got the calibre to make a turnaround with their performances. Australia will be kickstarting their World Cup campaign against Afghanistan on June 1 at County Ground in Bristol.
