ICC World Cup 2019: Ravi Shastri Gives An Update On Kedar Jadhav Injury
It has been a brilliant season for Kedar Jadhav in the Indian National Cricket Team. However, it wasn’t the same in the CSK unit, as he failed to score runs for the team consistently. In between, he suffered a shoulder injury, which kept his position in the team for the World Cup in a jeopardy. Meanwhile, the head coach Ravi Shastri gives an update on his injury.
Kedar Jadhav hurt his shoulder when he attempted a diving stop near the boundary fence against Kings XI Punjab. He was immediately taken out of the game and was sent to the doctors for scanning. The reports which emerged out saw him being ruled out from the IPL 2019 playoffs.
As per the reports, it is learnt that Jadhav has undergone a grade one trauma injury. Further, it comes to be known that the cricketer will regain his fitness ahead of the showpiece event. Surprisingly, BCCI is yet to release a statement on his availability for the grand event.
Kedar Jadhav should be OK – Ravi Shastri
Meanwhile, the head coach Ravi Shastri believes that the all-rounder will be fine for the grand event with time in his kitty. Shastri is optimistic of Kedar’s chances, as he is lucky to not fracture his shoulder. He wants to wait before taking a call on the fitness of the unorthodox all-rounder.
”Luckily in Kedar’s case, there is no fracture so we will wait and watch. There is still time so it should be ok,” Shastri said to CricketNext.
Injuries are a part and parcel of the game but the impact of the injury is something, which is tough for the players to receive. The all-rounder Kedar Jadhav is hanging in the middle with an injury scare ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019.
Hopefully, Kedar Jadhav would get fit for the major event. India would be benefitted from him, as he got many ingredients to make things fall in place for the team. His unorthodox bowling and ability to get runs under his belt for the team would be a major factor during the crunch situations of the game in the tournament.
