The highly anticipated ICC World Cup 2023 is all set to kick off on October 5th at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, as officially announced by the ICC on June 27th. Excitement is building among fans as the complete schedule for the tournament has been revealed, culminating in the final match on November 19th, also to be held in Ahmedabad.
This edition of the World Cup will showcase a total of 10 participating teams. Eight teams, including India, England, New Zealand, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and New Zealand, have already secured their places in the competition. The remaining two teams will be determined through the ongoing ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2023.
The format of the upcoming edition of the tournament will be similar to the 2019 edition. A round robin round will be followed by the knockouts. Each team will engage in a round-robin format, playing against the other nine teams once during the group stage. Subsequently, the top four teams will progress to the semifinals, where they will fiercely vie for a spot in the grand final.

ICC World Cup 2023 – England World Cup schedule:
England are the reigning world champions and are one of the hot favourites to win ICC World Cup 2023. They will open their campaign against New Zealand on October 5 in Ahmedabad. After taking on Bangladesh and Afghanistan, they will be up against South Africa on October 21 at the Wankhede Stadium.
On October 29, the reigning champions will take on hosts India in Lucknow before playing against Australia on November 4 in Ahmedabad. Their final league game is against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens on November 12.
