ICC World Cup 2023: Team India Full World Cup Schedule, Venue, Timing And Other Details

The much-awaited ICC World Cup 2023 is scheduled to get underway on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The ICC, on Tuesday (June 27), finally announced the full schedule for the competition. The final will also be held in Ahmedabad on November 19.

A total of 10 teams will be participating in the event. Eight of the ten teams – India, England, New Zealand, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, New Zealand – have already booked their place in the tournament while the remaining two teams will be finalised through the ongoing ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2023.

The format of the tournament is similar to the 2019 format. Each team will play against the other nine teams once. The top four teams will then make it to the semifinals and the winners of those games will then lock horns in the final.

Talking about Team India’s schedule, the hosts will begin their campaign with a mouthwatering clash against five-time world champions Australia in Chennai. The match is scheduled to take place on October 8. It will be followed by the match against Afghanistan on October 11.

4 Days later, India will be locking horns against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium. On October 19, the Men in Blue will be up against Bangladesh before taking on New Zealand three days later in Dharamsala. On October 29, India will be up against defending champions England in Lucknow. India’s final league game will be against a qualifying team on November 11 in Bengaluru.
