Iknoor Singh Smashes Stunning Triple-Century In 25-Over Game PCA 2019 1

Iknoor Singh recently performed extraordinarily with the bat in the Quarter-final of PCA 2019. In that 25-over game, the right-handed batsman scored a stunning triple-century.

The Pittsburgh Cricket Association (PCA) league is the 25-over tournament. On last Saturday (21st September), PittsPunters and Kent CC met in the Quarter-final of PCA 2019 at Hempfield. After winning the toss, PittsPunters decided to bat first.

Iknoor Singh scored 324 not out off just 97 balls

PittsPunters opener Iknoor Singh totally dominated on that day as he recorded unbeaten 324 runs off just 97 balls. While the 25-year-old right-handed batsman had the strike-rate of 334.02, he smashed 14 fours and 39 sixes in that innings. In the PCA tournament history,  WVUCC batsman Sohail Chaudhry was the previous record holder in the highest individual score. He scored 232 runs during a match in PCA 2008.

Iknoor Singh destroyed every opposition bowler in the recent game. The lowest economy rate among the Kent CC bowlers was 11.20 by the right-arm medium Amit Deshmukh (5-0-56-0). At once, Iknoor smashed seven consecutive sixes in seven legitimate balls he faced. Moreover, he hit four successive sixes in the final four legitimate deliveries of that innings.

Iknoor’s unforgettable batting helped PittsPunters to manage the whopping first innings total of 406/2 in 25 overs. Another opener Sachal Magon was the second most run-scorer in that innings as he scored 39 runs off 20 balls. Iknoor-Sachal managed to put an incredible 159-run partnership (8.4 overs) for the opening wicket.

Helpless Kent CC scored only 190 runs

In reply, Kent CC were all out on 190 runs (21.4 overs). PittsPunters won that Quarter-final by 216 runs. Only the opener Prajna Pati (48), no.8 batsman Karan Kalsaria (35) and the last batsman Mohammad Azhar (34*) reached the 20-run mark in that innings. For the last wicket, Karan and Azhar provided 80 runs partnership.

Among the PittsPunters bowlers, Parag Makhija (3/30) and Sukesh Kumar (3/31) picked up three wickets each. The left-arm spinner Iknoor Singh also had the bowling figures of 2-0-13-0.
