Former Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin lauded Cameron Green for an aggressive knock against India and stated that he has improved and gotten better every time he plays and added he looked positive in his approach and never missed an opportunity to score runs.
Speaking to FOX Sports, Brad Haddin Praised Green for his fantastic hundred against Australia in the final test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy and stressed India bowlers had no answer to Green’s counter-attacking knock.
“Every time we’ve seen him, he gets better and better, What’s been more impressive is the tempo he’s played at. He’s come and taken the game on. He hasn’t missed an opportunity to score, so his mindset’s all about looking to score, not just occupying the crease. The Indians don’t have an answer for him.” he added.
Speaking at the end of Day 2, Cameron Green spoke about his knock to the Broadcaster, Green reckoned that it is important to be very aggressive with the new ball and continued his gameplay to score more runs with the new ball and to attack the bowlers by staying calm as much as possible
“I think this is a different style of batting. In Australia, you try to get more in line with it. The head is very aggressive with the new ball. I thought maybe had a good chance to score runs with the new ball yesterday. I just tried to pick up how the Indian bowlers went about it. You have to swallow your ego on this wicket. I will maybe do the holding role tomorrow and let the spinners do their bit,” he added.
