The Second Test between India and Australia is underway in New Delhi. The Australian team was bowled out for 263 runs in the 1st innings. Usman Khawaja (81) and Peter Handscomb (72) were the highest scorers for Australia. On Day 1, India veteran wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik who has been part of Star Sports in the Border Gavaskar Trophy and was seen commentating with Australian Legend Matthew Hayden.

During the conversation with Harsha Bhogle and Matthew Hayden, Karthik compared the all-rounder’s hairstyle to that of the character portrayed by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

“Interestingly, Jadeja has a hairstyle that is inspired by Pathaan, I feel,”  Karthik said with a smile.

 “It’s good I have options.” Hayden immediately replied.

Karthik and Harsha Bhogle were split by Australian great Matthew Hayden’s response to Karthik’s comments. During one of Jadeja’s spells, one of his teammates was heard screaming ‘Chal chal Pathaan’.

Jadeja has been having a phenomenal series. Jadeja had not played an International match for the last 6 months and in Nagpur, he picked up a five-fer and struck a fifty too to help India win the match. In the ongoing match in Delhi, Jadeja picked up 3 wickets, including the important wicket of Usman Khawaja.

Dinesh Karthik, who plays predominantly as the finisher for India picked up fellow finishers MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya as his favourite batting partner. Karthik, who has not been a part of the national squad since the T20 World Cup, would next be seen in the IPL for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He would look to win the maiden title for RCB in 2023.

Royal Challengers will play their first match against Mumbai Indians on April 2 in Bangalore.
