India Announce ODI and T20I Squads For Australia And New Zealand Series

India, on Monday, announced the squad for the upcoming ODI series against Australia and New Zealand.  Hardik Pandya, who missed the ODI series against the Windies due to a back problem, has returned to the ODI squad. Pandya, who has also been added to the Test squad for the ongoing series against Australia, has not played an international game since being stretchered off the field during the game against Pakistan in the Asia Cup.

Barring him, there are no other surprises in the 16-man squad. Senior batsman Dinesh Karthik will be the backup keeper, replacing Rishabh Pant who had played in the series against Windies. Umesh Yadav and Manish Pandey have also failed to hold on to their spots in the squads.

India also announced the T20I squad for the series in New Zealand, recalling MS Dhoni. The veteran batsman was dropped for the series against Windies and Australia. Pant has managed to find a spot in the T20I team. However, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Washington Sundar and Umesh Yadav have lost their spots.
