iii) As an ODI opener, Rohit Sharma has scored 6,977 runs in just 135 innings. He needs to score 23 more runs in next 11 innings to become the fastest ODI opener to complete 7,000 runs. Hashim Amla is currently holding this record as he achieved this feat in 147 ODI innings as an opener.

iv) Rohit Sharma (8,944 runs) is 56 runs away to complete his 9,000 ODI runs. The right-handed batsman will be the seventh Indian batsman to score 9,000 ODI runs.

 

Australian cricketers’ stats

i) Opener David Warner (4,990 runs) is 10 runs away to complete his 5,000 ODI runs. He can be the fastest Australian batsman to achieve this feat if he reached this milestone in next 13 ODI innings. While he has played 114 ODI innings, the present fastest Australian record to reach the 5,000 ODI runs milestone is in 128 innings by Dean Jones.
