The hosts India and the visitors Sri Lanka will play the third and final match of the three-match T20I series at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium (Pune) on Friday (10th January) night.

ii) Virat Kohli (10,999 runs) is one run away to complete 11,000 international runs as a captain. After MS Dhoni (11,207 runs), Kohli will be the second Indian and sixth overall captain to score 11,000 international runs. While Kohli has played 195 international innings as a captain, he has left many matches to break Ricky Ponting’s record – the fastest to score 11,000 international runs as a captain. Ponting is currently holding this record in 252 international innings.

i) Pacer Lasith Malinga (27 wickets) is four more wickets away to become the most T20I wicket-taker at the away venues (only home of the opposition). Only Chris Jordan (England) and Shahid Afridi (Pakistan) are ahead of him in this list with 30 and 29 away T20I wickets.

ii) Sri Lankan captain Lasith Malinga has picked up 29 T20I wickets. He is two wickets away to become the most wicket-taker as a pace bowling captain. Former England T20I captain Stuart Broad is record holder as he took 30 T20I wickets during his captaincy.
