Two days to go before the start of Australia vs India limited-overs bilateral series. It will be the first time that India will play a bilateral ODI series against Australia in Australia. Here are some incredible ODI records by Indian cricketers against the Australian team in Australia.

Sachin Tendulkar (Most runs scored): – Sachin Tendulkar is the most runs getter on the Australian tour. He scored 740 runs in 25 ODI matches with the average of 30.83 including 1 hundred and 5 half-centuries in Australia. Australian Batsman David Boon is on the second position in this list as he scored 646 runs in 14 ODI matches. None of the current cricketers from the both teams are close to Sachin’s achievements.

Sunil Gavaskar (Most runs in a series): – Another Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar holds the record of the most runs scorer in a series. He scored 348 runs in the 7 matches against Australia during the 1985/86 Benson & Hedges World Series Cup (Australia, New Zealand and India in Australia).

Yuvraj Singh (Highest individual score in an innings): – Yuvraj Singh holds the record of the highest individual score in an innings. He hit 139 runs in 122 balls against Australia in Sydney on 22nd January 2014, which is the highest individual score between India and Australia in Australia. Surprisingly, the second highest position is also held by an Indian batsman. The player is Rohit Sharma, who hit 138 runs in 139 balls at Melbourne in the last year.

 VVS Laxman and Yuvraj Singh (Highest runs partnership in an innings): – VVS Laxman and Yuvraj Singh made 213 runs partnership for the 4th wicket against Australia in Sydney in the 2004 Australian tour. It is the highest runs partnership between the competition of Australia and India in Australia.

Rohit Sharma (Most sixes in an innings): – Rohit Sharma hit 4 sixes in an ODI innings which is the highest sixes in an innings by a batsman between an Australia v India match in Australia. He made this incredible record in Melbourne in 2015, when he hit 138 runs in 139 balls.

Ajit Agarkar (Best bowling figure in an innings): – It might be one of the biggest achievements for the Indian cricket team to hold the record of the best bowling figure (in an innings) in the Australia. Ajit Agarkar bowled 9.3-1-42-6 against Australia at Melbourne during the 2004 tour. Mitchell Starc has the second best figure with 10-2-43-6.

MS Dhoni (Involving most dismissals in a series): – Mahendra Singh Dhoni is in this list due to involvement most dismissals in an ODI series. He involved 16 dismissals in 6 matches, including 14 catches and 2 stumps during the 2007/08 Commonwealth Bank Series. Adam Gilchrist is on the second position with 12 dismissals in the same series.
