Days after facing humiliation during the T20I series against Sri Lanka, BCCI is being criticized ahead of the second ODI match against Australia at Rajkot. Besides, Cricket.com.au had shared a video of old women preparing the pitch in Rajkot which had also gone viral. The Twitterati point fingers on the Indian cricket board for not adapting the modern techniques for the pitch preparation.
In the first T20I match against Sri Lanka in Guwahati, the match was abandoned due to the wet patch formed in the pitch because of the irresponsibility of ground staff. Even after the rain had stopped, water leaked from covers before it formed a dampen portion. The furious fans, as well as former cricketers, had condemned the poor arrangement by BCCI in that particular match.
And now, the BCCI is facing the criticism once again after Cricket.com.amu released the video of elderly women preparing the pitch for the second ongoing ODI between India and Australia in Rajkot.
In a short chip, the four women were seen using brushes to clean the pitch.
And minutes after the release of the video, Twitterati slammed BCCI and BCCI’s president Sourav Ganguly for the techniques used to prepare the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) pitch.

Globally India has the 5th largest economy and here we see cheap and poor labor without adequate equipment to do the job. Bow my head in shame ?

The Indian players and @BCCI should know better and have seen what happens in other countries. They should be embarrassed and work for change. Notice that no men do the menial work. A very poor advertisement for all concerned in Indian cricket. #Mansplaining
